• You have just had a new intruder alarm system installed and would like to carry out regular inspections to keep it running efficiently.
    • Your insurance requires you to have an alarm servicing record to be submitted in the event of a claim.
    • You have intruder alarm monitoring installed and require a maintenance contract to check and secure the connection between the system and the emergency services.
    • You have been experiencing a number of false alarms and may have lost your police response if monitoring is installed.

At WFP, we have a vested interest in our customers’ security. Our experts understand you’ve worked hard to build your business and want to protect it to the best of your ability. A maintenance contract is just as important as a successful, thorough installation to ensure the longevity of the system, and also to ensure it doesn’t let you down at the most crucial moment.

    • An annual or bi-annual service of your intruder alarm by an accredited provider to measure and optimise system performance.
    • Immediate action on a professional’s recommendations following the identification of any faults or necessary improvements.
    • The installation of intruder alarm monitoring to enable an emergency response upon alarm activation.
  • WFP’s Maintenance Packages:

We offer 24/7 telephone support to all of our customers, in addition to one of the following maintenance packages:

Basic: For simple compliance with industry standards, you’ll get statutory maintenance carried out over the minimum number of required visits. Call-outs are chargeable at the standard rate, and parts supplied at the quoted rate.

Basic+: In addition to the Basic cover, this level includes the cost of labour for call-outs during normal working hours, and a pre-booked 15-minute training session per visit.

Premium: You’ll get the benefits of Basic+ cover, whilst this will also cover the cost of parts (excluding consumables).

Premium+: As well as Premium cover, you’ll have out-of-hours call-outs included plus all consumable parts, such as batteries.

We can help you decide which maintenance package would suit your business’s needs, so you’re getting the most suitable level of cover and protection.

Intruder alarm maintenance is vital to ensure your system is working efficiently at all times, and to pick up on any faults before they become a real problem.

The type of system you have, for instance whether it is wired or wireless, will impact the frequency and intensiveness of these health checks, as wireless systems require regular battery checks and changes to prevent leakage and potential damage to the entire device.

The complexity of your system, such as the number of devices, as well as whether or not it has alarm monitoring installed, will determine the level of inspection required at each visit. Failing to have either an adequate level of protection on your site, and a suitable maintenance contract in place to keep it running smoothly, is vital to ensure round-the-clock security.

During your maintenance visits, a WFP engineer will carry out the following before issuing you with a certificate report and any recommendations to be carried out:

    • Inspection of the robustness of cabling, batteries and power supplies
    • Examination of the entire system and all devices to identify any faults
    • Investigation of any false alarms raised since the last maintenance visit
    • Testing of remote signalling to the alarm receiving centre (if monitored)
    • Analysis of compatibility with handbook specifications and industry standards
    • Evaluation of any linked security systems, such as CCTV or access control systems

WFP can maintain your intruder alarm system whether or not it was initially installed by us, so there’s no need to stick with an inferior service if you’re not happy with your current provider. Plus, if you have multiple security solutions in place for your business, we can incorporate this within your maintenance package and save you the hassle of having multiple visits from various providers.
