Redcare Alarm Monitoring

What is Redcare?

Redcare a brand of alarm monitoring that allows your alarm to automatically contacts the Police or Fire Brigade

A Redcare alarm monitoring system is installed on a fire or intruder system to be used as an automated way of alerting someone (i.e. keyholders, Police or Fire Brigade) of an activation on your system (for example Fire or Burglary).

Redcare is a brand of alarm monitoring and referring to monitoring as Redcare is similar to saying ‘Hoover’ for a vacuum cleaner.

There are also different types of Redcare, such as:

Redcare Classic

Redcare GSM

Redcare Agile

What can be monitored?

Although Redcare can be used to monitor many systems, the main two are fire alarm systems and intruder alarm systems. Other systems that can be monitored in your building include:

  • Water leak detection
  • Fire Alarm
  • Panic Alarm
  • Fault monitoring
  • CCTV Activation
  • Intruder Alarm
  • Temperature (Fridges etc)
  • And many more...

You want Redcare installed because:

Your insurance provider requires it.
You are conscious of your building when no one is there.

You would like your building the correct emergency service to be contacted automatically.

By installing Redcare at your premises you'll:

Be covered by most insurers
(check with your insurer to see what grade is required)

Have peace of mind knowing that the people who will be needed i.e. Police or Fire Brigade, will be called instantly.

The benefits to you of having Redcare at your Premises:

You will have peace of mind, knowing that if anything were to happen at your premises, either the Fire Brigade or Police will be called automatically.

Your insurance will require this for you to claim, therefore you are more likely to have any claims accepted.

How Redcare works at your Premises:

If you have dual path monitoring, two channels will be used, one landline and one cellular, therefore you are nearly 100% guaranteed that the system will call the emergency services instantly.

You will also receive a notification if there is a
problem, meaning that you can get to your premises
before or at the same time as the emergency
services if you are closer. So that you may explain
the building and aid in any procedures.

So how much does Redcare Cost?

The average ‘rule of thumb’ for Redcare alarm monitoring is £1.00 a day which will cover the ongoing monitoring of the system (excluding any line rental charges – if applicable) which is value for money. In addition to this, there is a cost to purchase the equipment and have this installed in your premises, which will depend on a number of factors, however, on average you are looking at £650.00.

Quick Tip: How to get value for money from your alarm monitoring.

The first thing that we suggest is that you check what type of monitoring you have, in the last 5-10 years there have been many new entrants to the market and this has greatly affected the costs to the consumer, you could be paying prices set at a time when things were less competitive, in addition to this you could be paying an additional line rental for a dedicated monitoring device which could, in fact, be removed or used for monitoring more than one system.

So it is really worth checking what you are paying for and what you are getting for your money.
