Why Go Wire-Free?

Radio fire alarm technology provides an attractive and reliable solution to traditional wired systems. It is suitable for installation in virtually any type of building or construction, easily matching, and in many cases exceeding, the performance of wired systems.

5000 FirePoint Controllers

The system uses sophisticated and secure, two way radio communications to interconnect the sensors (smoke detectors, etc) with the controllers. A simple concept, yet one that provides many unique benefits:

Sensors can be fitted in less than 10 minutes. This means that the disruption to your business is kept to an absolute minimum, a definite plus in today’s busy working environment;
The fabric of the building is protected and undamaged, making the wire-free solution ideal for many buildings, especially those of historic interest, and anywhere where the decor should remain intact;
Obtrusive and costly fire-rated cable is eliminated, with the ability to power devices locally. The one area that has been fundamental to the radio products WFP use is the development of advanced power technology;

All our radio products are guaranteed as standard for two years;
The systems can be easily moved or upgraded as the building use changes. So if you move, simply take the system with you. We can refit it into your new building

This means that any radio equipment used on a site must carry the appropriate approval, and that there should be no mutual interference between any of the systems.

Despite rumours to the contrary, the following do not affect the operation of WFP systems: Mobile phones, taxi or emergency service radios, air traffic control, military, radio microphones, car alarm key fobs.

The question should not be “why go wire-free?” but “why not?”
