Emergency Lighting
Health and Safety legislation requires that all buildings in the commercial and HMO (houses of multiple occupation) sector have emergency escape lighting installed. Emergency Lighting systems should clearly illuminate essential areas such as escape routes and work areas, when the normal lighting systems fail, allowing the occupants of the premises to evacuate the building efficiently, thereby reducing panic and ultimately saving lives. WFP can advise on the categories of systems and their suitability for premises with varying types of occupancy usage, and offer guidance and recommendations on the design, installation and wiring of the systems, ensuring that requirements of the British and European standards are met. We also offer a flexible servicing package which ensures that the system is maintained by experienced professional engineers.
Non Maintained Emergency Lighting: operates when the normal mains supply fails. Maintained Emergency Lighting: operates normally and continues to operate when the normal mains supply fails. Self Testing Emergency Lighting: complying with the above standards and certification boards, and saving money on maintenance bills. |
