New Vacancy for Summer 2008 - Service Administrator - Filled Jul 08

We are looking for another member of our team, could that be you?

An exciting opportunity for a disciplined and self motivated person to join our business has arisen. The successful candidate will be a key element in maintaining the delivery of our customer service excellence goals whilst the business grows.  

Duties: To assist the service manager with administrative duties including up keep of various registers and the office database, typing quotations, processing documents. 

Your duties will also include general office duties such as post, filing, ordering and managing stationery etc. The systems that we use are CLIK service, MS Word, Excel and Sage Line 50.

The candidate must be IT literate. Good grammar and English language skills are essential for this role as is a confident and intelligent telephone manner. 

A short test will be undertaken during the interview procedure. 

Location: Stock, Essex

Wages; £16,500

WFP’s Service operation is currently expanding and we are looking for a Service & Commissioning engineer.

Our engineers are the face of WFP and our customers expect to be looked after by a smart, polite and competent engineer who understands their individual needs.

We have listed below areas of competency which would be helpful for the successful applicant.

This is not an essential or exhaustive list; however the position requires at least 5 years electrical or electronic experience:

  • Fire; BS5839 Part 1 : 2002 ; Design, Maintenance, Installation, Commissioning
  • Security Experience; Door Entry, Intruder, Access Control
  • Experience of the following manufacturers:
  • EMS Radio Fire & Security Systems, Morley-IAS, Haes Systems, Apollo, Advanced Electronics, Rafiki Sita & Twin flex, Ziton, Ampac, Gent, Airsense, VESDA, The Fire Beam, Fire ray.
  • Experience of replacing old conventional fire systems with Analogue addressable systems
  • Experience of EMS Radio Integrity testing and commissioning
  • Health and Safety; Risk Assessment and general site practices

We will provide training to support the successful candidate to fill any knowledge gaps and to further develop base skills.

An exciting job opportunity exists for an outgoing IT-literate, office-based person. The candidate must ideally have experience of the fire and security industry and have an electrical background.

Job specification: Working closely within the management team of the business the successful candidate will work for the chief executive forming a vital part of the businesses development. Internally providing technical support for our engineers and sales staff whilst liaising with our manufacturing partners to ensure that we are at the forefront of the latest technology and installation techniques.

Working within a small team the successful candidate would be expected to see through our commitments to customers - and specifically attend site if required to keep our promises to our customers.

They will be responsible for the management, development, and expansion of existing customer maintenance base utilising our IT system (CLIK Service); to manage engineers’ workload, stores and equipment requirement; to proactively liaise with our customers, maintaining regular contact and dealing with ongoing projects. Training will be provided if required.

Future: WFP is a steadily expanding business, growing through planned development. This role is seen as central in our expansion plans, whilst we continue to deliver our promises to our existing customers.

Essential skills: Good grammar; excellent organiser and time manager; team player and communicator; understanding of technical nature of work, ability to manage people/workload.
