The school is a sprawling assortment of buildings which until recently was using an ageing fire alarm system, that also served as a class change method.

The site straddles a busy road and, because of this, presented its own unique problems. Using a wired system, the extensive ground works which would have been required would have been extremely expensive, not to mention disruptive, disturbing the day to day work of the school. These problems were solved and ground works avoided by the installation of a state-of-the-art networked radio system.

WFP was chosen to supply and commission the extensive fire alarm system using five networked fire alarm panels to cover all of the eight individual blocks which make up the school.

Two of the blocks already had a reasonably modern fire alarm system installed, with site wiring between blocks.

The system was interfaced in order to be integrated within the complete system, giving the ideal solution. Couple the reliability of the newly installed radio system, with 24 hour site monitoring, the school can now look forward to many years of secure fire protection.
